A per-item number is only part of a Test & Tag quote. The final price depends on how many items are involved, what the equipment is, where the site is, how easy it is to access and whether other services are required.
Why quantity changes the effective rate
Larger jobs can be more efficient because travel, setup and administration are spread across more items. A very small job can take proportionally more time per item even if the physical testing itself is straightforward.
Equipment type matters
A standard office appliance is not the same as a three-phase lead, workshop tool or RCD requirement. Mixed sites should tell the provider what equipment groups are present so the quote is not based on an unrealistic assumption.
Access and operating hours
Parking, loading, inductions, security, multiple floors and after-hours requirements can affect the time needed on site. Providing those details early helps avoid surprises.
