Tagshield’s services cover different parts of workplace electrical and fire-safety management. Electrical Test & Tag is used for in-service electrical equipment such as portable appliances, tools and leads. RCD testing focuses on residual-current protection. Three-phase testing is relevant where a workplace has suitable industrial equipment or leads. Fire extinguisher servicing and new extinguisher supply are separate fire-safety services.
Mixed sites are common
Workshops, warehouses and trade businesses can have ordinary portable appliances, chargers, extension leads, RCDs and three-phase equipment at the same site. Offices may have computers, kitchen appliances and shared chargers. Tell us the equipment groups when requesting a quote so the service can be scoped correctly.
What happens when something is unsafe
Testing does not make an unsafe item safe. Equipment identified as unsafe should be removed from normal use or otherwise controlled. If prescribed electrical work is required, it must be completed by an appropriately licensed electrical worker.
