A quiet office, a commercial kitchen, a warehouse and a construction site should not be treated as if they have identical electrical-safety risks. The amount of movement, moisture, dust, heat, mechanical wear and public access can all change what the workplace needs to pay attention to.
Construction and trade environments
Portable tools, leads and RCDs can be exposed to frequent movement and damage. Site-specific rules and applicable standards may also affect how testing and tagging is managed.
Warehouses and factories
